Going Analog

I call my routine “going analog” as there’s nothing wired in the intensity of the routine.

I ask followers: “What would you do in your life if you didn’t care what other people think of how you choose to live?”

Go do that for a day or even just one hour to warm up to doing what others will judge you for. Call on a best friend to get together in the two of you flipping the expected script.

See how you feel after taking the leap. The Zen saying tells us: “Leap, and the net will appear.”

Too I use the word analog to talk about how to disconnect from doing and resolve that being is all that’s required to live happy and healthy.

It can seem counter-productive to say: “No goal is required.” I however choose to do only one thing at the end of this year: Return to the gym to work out in person with a trainer. This is my only goal.

In coming blog entries I will offer a meal plan linked to my own re-commitment to eating well. I’ve been just as guilty this summer in screaming for ice cream and indulging. Only ice cream is too high in saturated fat!!

To end here we do not have to be always productive to prove our worth.

In November I’ll write about celebrating Thanksgiving. We can be thankful to have the courage to Just Say “No!” to grind culture.

Coming up I’d like to start a 2-week Challenge to post here as we head into the fall. The challenge is to s-l-o-w down and linger longer in each moment of our lives.

Too I’ll report on the latest hit that flashed into my head. I call this The Daily Deck. It’s a way to plan your week.
